Just as is the case with most kids these days, my 3-year-old son loves technology! We don’t use screens all day, but most days we spend a little while playing a game or watching videos. As such, we’re always on the hunt for a fun AND educational app. These can be hard to find as usually apps are more geared towards one or the other. It’s important to me that what he’s playing be teaching or reinforcing a skill. Often times when we find something he enjoys, he masters it quickly. When it’s no longer a challenge for him and he loses interest, and the hunt begins again.
So I jumped at the chance to try out an app geared towards toddlers/pre-schoolers (little ones through age 5). I’d never heard of KidloLand before, but a quick search showed me that the app offers bright colors, fun characters, and tons of activities.

Some of KidloLand’s menu options includes:
- Nursery Rhymes
- Stories – Your little one has the choice to read it aloud OR it reads to them.
- Phonics
- Songs
- Games
- Magic Words – Including words/phrases such as: sorry, please, excuse me…
- Weather and Seasons
- Occupations
- Animals
- Fruits and Vegetables
- Numbers
- Colors and Shapes
- Months and Days
- And much more!
It didn’t take long to realize we both enjoyed this app! It took a while to go through, as there is quite of bit of content. There’s so much it doesn’t include it all in the free app download! You can purchase individual packs to cater the app towards what you (and your little one) are most interested in. The educational content is presented with songs, puzzles, and games. I love that I don’t have to worry about anything he might be coming across when I allow him to play this app on our tablet. He’s asked to play it a number of times, and I can tell it will be a classic favorite for a while to come.

True story:
My little guy fell and scraped his knee “Ow! I hurt my knee!” he complains.
“Let me see! I will kiss it better!” I try to console him…
“No, KidloLand will make me feel better…” he says as he grabs my iPad.
I couldn’t decide if I was pleased or offended.
