Now that fall is around the corner the weather is going to get cooler and it will be perfect to take the kiddos to the park! I asked some moms where their favorite parks and playgrounds were in Hampton Roads and with their advice I put together this list.
Bayville Farms Park
There are tennis courts, volleyball courts, basketball courts, a dog park, a playground, picnic shelters, and more!
Beach Garden Park
Located near the oceanfront!
Little Beach Park
Located at Sandbridge Beach. This park is great! It has pavilions and the squishy flooring so if the kids fall down they don’t get hurt as bad.
Red Mill Park
This is in a neighborhood and has ball fields and a playground.
Red Wing Park
This park has two playgrounds, a dog park, bike trails, picnic areas and more!
Kids Cove Playground
This fun playground is located at Mount Trashmore. Not only is there a huge, fun playground but they have a big hill that you can go to the top of and fly kites!

Fun Forest at City Park
This is a huge park located in Greenbrier. One thing I love is that it is gated and there is only one way into the playground. There are also basketballs courts and picnic areas.
Elizabeth River Park
This playground has a beautiful view of the South Norfolk Jordan Bridge.
Oak Grove Park
We love this park in the fall. It has a beautiful hiking trail and a playground for the kids.
Slover Library in Norfolk has a padded play area inside the library.
Norview Community Center
This one has a splash pad!
Northside Community Park
This park has a fun playground, wading pool, picnic shelters and more.
There are lots of things to do like nature trails, a fishing pier, and more!
Lake Meade Park
There is a fun KidZone Playground, picnic tables, and more!
Sleepy Hole Park
Beautiful park with a playground, volleyball courts, picnic shelters, nature trails and more.
